"Ginagawa ko po talaga, kumukuha ako ng ideas sa mga nakakalaban namin- sa mga scrims. Inaaply ko sa laro ko, sa laro namin." - Kairi on his preparations from M3 to facing ECHO in the MPL PH Season 9.

This matchup could arguably be the closest series we’ve had this season. The ECHO Express wanted to unleash havoc once again and extend their winning streak. Unfortunately for them, ONIC had other plans.

All three games lasted more than at least 17 minutes, with the first game going to ECHO even with ONIC having the momentum in the early portions of the opening salvo. It was an interesting pickoff by Hatred to Markyyyyy that started the comeback for the Purple Orcas. ONIC didn’t have enough damage and overstayed their welcome in the looming darkness which gave ECHO an opening window to strike- and with the charge being led by BennyQT, having the best position in every single team fight made them one step closer to victory and keeping their record unblemished.

But ONIC had other plans and simply won’t give up the fight in the second round. The draft was all part of the plan as the Hedgehogs wanted to give their opponents a taste of their own medicine. It was a Johnson and Kadita pickup from the side of the M3 Runners-up that sealed the deal after Baloyskie crashed deep into enemy territory. Stunning KarlTzy and the rest of ECHO, Game 3 was a match just waiting to happen. Dlarskie kept the opponents at bay to secure the MVP of the 2nd Game.

The last match of the series ended earlier compared to the other two matches, but it was the decider that kept everyone hooked for every haymaker we can expect from both teams. The lead was at the side of ECHO as they were planning to deal the final blow after securing the Lord and completing the flow from the top to bottom lanes. However, it went ham for the Orcas as Kairi unleashed a clutch Dark Night Falls and Stinger to two members of ECHO that immediately eliminated them from the equation. Even at the verge of defeat, ONIC made the remaining members of ECHO run back but Markyyyyy wanted to chase them with the Crossbow of Tang as Yawi’s Akai went down in the process. It was the tower lock of both Markyyyyy and Kairi that sealed the deal and brought the ECHO Express back to earth, dealing them their first heartbreak of the tournament.

Game 1 MVP: BennyQT (Phoveus)

Game 2 MVP: Dlarskie (Esmeralda)

Game 3 MVP: Kairi (Helcurt)
