The rivalry between Onic Esports and Smart Omega goes way back in 2020, when both teams faced each other in the MPL Philippines Season 5. The rivalry between Onic Esports and Smart Omega is also fueled by the fact that both teams have highly skilled players who are capable of making game-changing plays. This makes the matches between the two teams highly unpredictable, as either team can emerge as the winner. 

The draft of Omega prioritizes scaling and a decent early to mid game compositiona as they picked up the gloo and hayabusa which got countered by Onic's pick with them picking sustain and mobility heroes. A natalia was picked up by Onic to limit the map pressure and control of OMG. This were evident as OMG was not able to transition well to the last game and they didn't hit the omega timer as Onic was able to get all the turtles and lord; finally ending the game in a clean game in 15 minutes.

Game 2 of the series and Omega made a comeback as Mikko was able to roam around the map to get kills they needed, especially Kelra for his karrie to scale to the late game, with this Omega was able to gain map control early on and get the objectives that they needed until Renzio got picked off in the late game allowing Onic to take the lord and cut down the gold lead to 3k but they were shutdown by Omega and Omega did a 4-man push down the middle to finish the game and take game 2.

Game 3 and by far the best match this series as it is a back-and-forth between the two teams. Super Prince and Renzio making the correct play for both of their teams and providing space by killing each other's teammates and pushing down the lanes and taking objectives. The highlight of this match though is where Kekedoot used his divine judgement on Kelra near the lord for his teammates to rescue him allowing Nets and Sensui to take down lord and with that lord they were able to wipeout the members of Omega alongside their base.
