"Grateful kami na ganun yung tingin nila. Nag-aadjust lang talaga kami doon sa META ngayon. Mukhang hindi malaki yung patch, pero malaki yung changes sa game." - Coach Yebmaester's response on other teams still deeming them as one of the top teams of the tournament.

Back in Season 8, ONIC Philippines were continuously fielding all of their players on calculated situations even when the playoffs were already being played. For this season, it is Nexplay EVOS who have been increasingly popular with shifting from one player to another as their team stands in the middle of the pack. Major team fights will be the key indicator- and the fight's about to go down.

The game began with so much aggression and engages, as Baloyskie with the use of Rafaela continues to initiate and let the others do the clean-up as NXPE will always have the lead in terms of kills but ONIC would find some way to secure jungle and turret objectives in a cross-map strategy. But the chess match immediately went to the favor of the Neon Tigers after securing the Lord in the 9th minute. The so-called Trap City by NXPE with having Selena and Popol and Kupa. It was another clutch Lord take from MP THE KING, but it took four lives of NXPE to secure the massive objective. ONIC capitalized on the unfortunate mishap and went on to take down the middle lane inhibitor turret. But Kairi's damage has proven to be too much during the final Lord skirmish of the game. Being unstoppable right from the start and was at the frontlines especially when the team needed him the most. The vision posed to be a problem for ONIC- but because of the micro-mechanics that the Yellow Hedgehogs have displayed from all over the map. It was Dlarskie and his unblemished use of Esmeralda that secured them of the MVP of the Game.

Which is why NXPE stole the Esmeralda from Dlar, picking it for themselves on the red side. However, ONIC wanted to go for something different. Still securing the Aulus after being so reliable in their recent match, they added some more initiators in Yu Zhong and Baxia to alleviate the late-game damage that Cecilion would emphasize on. Compared to the first game, both teams were preparing for the calm before the storm that began in the 7th minute. An uncontested Lord and a commendable zoning play from URESHII managed to provide them of a prized objective. ONIC however, still has the wave clear for defending due to having Valentina, Aulus and Lylia in their lineup. Even so, they can't seem to find their way to contest because of the threat coming from Cadenza's Iron Hook and the Bats Impact that came early even when the early minutes of the game were in. With another match full of burst- it has been the sustainable heroes that pavedd the way for the others to victory. This time, URESHII- with his very own rendition of the Esmeralda to gain the MVP. With NXPE's victory, a decider had to arrive.

The final game had Kairi as Lancelot after MP THE KING used the assassin for two straight games in the series. NXPE had the 4-0 kill score for the first five minutes of the game. An URESHII Valentina positioned in the XP Lane was an interesting strategy but a turn-around Lord take from ONIC shifted the tides and provided the momentum for Hedgehogs to potentially take it all the way. Another take from ONIC was snother terrifying situation for NXPE- but they had to answer by shifting their attention towards the opposing heroes. Eliminating four in the process and leaving Markyyyyy behind, it was a hard reset once more for both squads. But ONIC gave NXPE a taste of their own medicine after taking four heroes and leaving Hesa to defend against the five of ONIC. With that, ONIC manages to exhibit their revenge against NXPE- who defeated them in their first meeting.
