After a Legendary day 2 of the MPL PH playoffs with both top seeds falling into the lower brackets, their victors face off against each other. RSG Slate Philippines look to decode the M3 champions, Blacklist International, for the first ticket onto MSC while also securing the first grand finals slot for the season. Both teams have recently revamped their main 5 lineups with Irrad taking over the jungle role of RSG while Owl positions himself as the main gold laner for Blacklist. Will Blacklist take down the current MSC champions? Or will RSG use their momentum to carry themselves into the grand finals by decoding the M3 Champions?

The draft for game one starts with Blacklist prioritizing Joy, Faramis, and Valentina while they also pick up Karrie and Akai during the second phase.  All heroes seem to be comfort picks of Blacklist. RSG on the other hand drafts Lancelot, Yve, and Arlott while they pick up Grock and Melissa during the second phase. These heroes also seem to be comfort heroes for RSG. Both sides banned standard meta picks such as Fanny, Franco, Estes, and Wanwan.

The game starts with Blacklist dominating the early game. They take advantage of advances done by RSG to punish them. Using this lead, they easily take the first few turtles while staying uncontested every single time. All the way until mid game, Blacklist still leads over map control, objectives taken, and towers pushed. They used this lead to stay on top the whole game eventually ending the game with a 17-0 kill record earning them the game 1 map victory.

The draft for game 2 starts with RSG stealing the joy pick from Blacklist while also taking Pharsa, Karrie, Terizla, and Lolita. Blacklist retaliates by sticking to their core strategy following their famous UBE method. With this, they take Baxia, Florlyn, Valentina, Wanwan, and Gloo. Both teams banned similarly to the first game including Estes, Fanny, Franco, and Fredrinn.

Game 2 starts with what looked like the complete opposite of the first match. RSG were able to find their footing for the first few minutes of the game with the use of Irrad’s Joy to dominate the early game by having an impressive 5/0/0 KDA while also securing the turtles. RSG were on track to dominate until Blacklist were able to shut-down Irrad instantly depleting the gold lead and even taking the lead after a few objective pickups afterwards. With this, Blacklist were able to build their momentum taking most of the objectives after this point further growing the gold lead Blacklist has. RSG was not able to keep up anymore eventually falling short and losing their base earning Blacklist their second game win putting them on matchpoint.

The draft for game 3 starts with Blacklist taking back their Joy pick along with Yve, Moscov, Angela, and Akai. RSG on the other hand follows a more RSG approach by picking up the Esmeralda who we have not seen yet. They also pick up Valentina, Fredrinn, Khufra, and Beatrix. Blacklist focuses their bans on overall meta picks including Arlott and Kaja.. While RSG targets most of their bans on OhMyV33NUS heroes such as Estes, Floryn, and Faramis.

Game 3 starts with RSG finally finding their ground once more. With early domination, they are able to secure the early game lead. Nathzz’s Esmeralda pick shows to be effective in fending off Edward’s Joy. RSG, using their early lead, makes a repeat of game 1 where they are able to dominate the early to late game. A bit of life is shown by Blacklist as they start fighting back and taking picks for themselves when unfortunately by the third lord, they get wiped out after almost successfully clashing with RSG. RSG then decided to go forward with ending the game rather than taking the lord as they have wiped out Blacklist earning them their very first match win resulting in a score of 2-1.

Game 4 draft starts with RSG snatching away the Fredrinn. They also pick Khufra, Valentina, Beatrix, and Fanny. Blacklist on the other hand picks up Gloo, Yve, Akai, Brody, and Lolita. RSG’s bans stayed similar wherein they banned OhMyV33NUS picks such as Estes, Faramis, Florlyn. Blacklist also stays similar with their bans including Kaja and Claude.

The game starts with an almost repeat of what happened during game 3. RSG is able to find their footing early on and utilizes it to win the early game. They are able to take two turtle objectives while also having a gold lead of around 4000 gold. The tides turn after one successful teamfight from Blacklist wherein they are able to successfully maneuver the teamfight during the second lord being able to take down 4 members of RSG while also taking the lord. With the newly obtained gold lead, they are able to wipe out RSG by the 3rd lord wherein they are able to end the game earning them the series win as well with the first grand finals slot and ticket to MSC.
